Accuracy of Information on our Website

Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. While we do our best to maintain accuracy of information on our site, we are human, and occasionally make mistakes.  Errors will be corrected upon discovery. We reserve the right to change product availability and pricing at any time or cancel any orders, including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your payment processed, which may have been placed as a result of incorrect information.

Email Communication

The best way to reach us about an order inquiry is to email help@colourandcotton.com. We will attempt to reply as quickly as we can! However, please keep in mind that we are a very small business and we kindly ask that you allow at least one business day for a reply. 

Order Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any order placed with our shop at any time, for any reason, without notice.  Should your order be canceled, a full refund will be issued at the time of cancellation and you will be notified by email.  Your bank policies will determine how quickly your refund appears as available in your account or as credited back to your balance.

If you cancel your order before it ships, your order will be subject to a 6% cancellation/transaction fee.

Sales Tax

Missouri residents will be charged a sales tax of 8.125% according to state law.

Order Processing and Shipping

All items on our website are in stock and typically ship within 1-2 business days after purchase.

By purchasing a recurring subscription club item from our website, you authorize an automatic, recurring payment on the 5th day of each month for this club item. Payment will automatically be processed using the debit or credit card provided at the time of checkout. You may change your card on file at any time and may cancel at any time.

All orders are shipped via USPS service and package tracking is provided, if available for your country, on all First Class parcels and Priority service. You'll receive an email notification with your USPS tracking number as soon as your order has shipped. Please be aware that it may take up to 24-48 hours for the tracking status to be updated by USPS. We cannot be held responsible for inaccurate tracking status due to failure by USPS to scan your package along its journey, or for any delays or damaged/lost packages by USPS. If your package has not arrived in a timely manner, please contact us and we will be happy to help. 

Combined shipping savings will automatically calculate when you add multiple items to your cart. Orders over $250 receive free priority shipping.

We cannot modify or add items to your order once placed. If you wish to purchase additional items please do so with a new order.

Shipping Addresses 

Your order will ship to the address provided at the time of checkout (or recurring subscription confirmation) as indicated on your order confirmation. If you update your address in your customer account AFTER you receive an order confirmation, it will NOT be used to ship existing confirmed orders, only future orders. If you need to change your shipping address after your order has been placed, please email us. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided at the time of ordering.

Customs and Import Taxes

We do ship internationally to all countries but please keep in mind that buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Colour and Cotton is not responsible for delays or additional fees due to customs. It is against the law to mark ordered items as giftsIf you are unsure of how customs may affect your purchase, please contact your local mail office for more information, and let us know how we can help!

Lost Packages

USPS tracking is provided on all orders. We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged packages and urge you to file a missing parcel claim with USPS if you do not receive a package when the tracking indicates delivery. We will attempt to replace the items for you if we can or will issue a full refund, but we cannot guarantee replacement of one of a kind items or now sold out/discontinued items.

Return Policy

If you have an issue with your purchase, just drop us a line at help@colourandcotton.com and we'll be happy to assist. All fabric, thread and pattern sales are final. Due to the nature of the item and copyright laws, instant digital downloads and printed patterns/books are not eligible for a refund. If you received a damaged or defective item, please reach out to us and we will be more than happy to correct it!

Refunds will be given for the purchase value of each returned item for any other items which do not fall under the categories above. Original shipping costs will not be refunded for returned items except in the case of incorrect or damage items sent to you  

Customer Information and Privacy

In the land of Internet breaches and scams, your privacy is taken very seriously.  

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.  When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Only with your permission (if you opt in during the account creation process), we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Secure Checkout and Your Data

Shop with confidence, our online store is hosted on a platform which exceeds industry standards for secure data transfers - your transactions and personal information are never stored by Colour and Cotton and are SSL-encrypted at all times.  At no point during the transaction do we have access to your credit card information, including on recurring subscription payments.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.  Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.  If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.  If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Accuracy of Billing and Customer Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
