Our hand dyed cross stitch fabric is dyed with care to achieve uniform variation and mottling, providing a rich backdrop to enhance your stitching.
Patina is perhaps one of our more enigmatic and varying fabrics. Each piece is a unique blend of sage green, orange and turquoise. Some of the dye powders used in this recipe are highly affected by humidty, thus this fabric has a larger range of variance than most of our fabrics, depending on the weather on the day it was dyed! The cool turquoise hue is more dominant on Aida and evenweave fabrics. Pictured on linen.
Our fabric comes on a variety of Zweigart base fabrics (as well as Jobelan) and arrives serged and pressed.
Please note - important color information! Due to the variation in fiber content of each base fabric, color differences between linen, aida and evenweave will occur! Evenweave and higher count Aida fabrics will dye lighter, as will Bergen 46 ct linen. Some color shifting may occur on evenweave fabric.
- 1/4 Yard = 17 x 26 inches
- 1/2 Yard = 26 x 36 inches
- 1 Yard = 36 x 55 inches (except for Aida 16 and 18 cts, which measure 36 x 44 inches)
Every effort is made to accurately represent the actual color of the fabric, but different monitors may show variations in color. Shrinkage does occur during the dye process, but the stitch count will remain the same.
